Claire Danes is going from movie star to fashion model. Danes was announced today as the face of a new Gucci fine jewelry campaign, replacing Drew Barrymore. Gucci creative director Frida Giannini said, “Claire Danes is a modern icon. For me she is one of the most interesting young actresses on the international scene.” Interesting? Hardly! James Franco has been announced as the new face of Gucci by Gucci, their newest men's fragrance.   He follows a long list of hotties who have recently endorsed colognes, including Justin Timberlake for Givenchy, and Patrick Dempsey for Avon.  The Gucci fragrance will launch in the fall.  Side note: He looks absolutely amazing in the pic and in case you are wondering this is not the ad shot by Gucci.

Lenny Kravitz is going to look super stylin for his upcoming tour.  He's enlisted the help of Gucci designer Frida Giannini to design his outfits.  The outfits are expected to include tailored jackets, big belt buckles and tight trousers.  There will be twenty full looks for the "Love Revolution" tour which kicks off in Vigo, Spain on 29th May.  Lenny is always super stylish, so we're sure he'll look fabulous! Gucci is moving to Russia, more like Russia has moved into Gucci’s closet. Designer Frida Giannini unveiled the Fall 2008 collection, which was obviously inspired by Russian folklore. The line featured a lot of detailed handwork, fur, peasant blouses over gold chain-swathed hipsters, print dresses and hippy skirts. Although the line is a bit much, I must say it’s the most interesting we have seen so far from Milan.
