Gucci is moving to Russia, more like Russia has moved into Gucci’s closet. Designer Frida Giannini unveiled the Fall 2008 collection, which was obviously inspired by Russian folklore.
The line featured a lot of detailed handwork, fur, peasant blouses over gold chain-swathed hipsters, print dresses and hippy skirts. Although the line is a bit much, I must say it’s the most interesting we have seen so far from Milan.
