Kitson Drops Lauren Conrad's Line

Lauren Conrad
Robertson's trendiest boutique Kitson has dropped Lauren Conrad's fashion line because of its "lackluster sales."

Owner Fraser Ross tells nymag.com, "Initially it was great," adding that he tried to get her to show up for in store appearances to help the line sell, but due to scheduling conflicts, it never happened.

He adds, "They need to realize it's no different than selling your album, your TV shows, your movies. You have to keep promoting it."

He also confirmed that they will not be carrying Victoria Beckham's menswear collection, because quite frankly, no one is interested in buying it.

What’s the point of buying celebrity driven fashion lines at high end boutiques when its going to end up at Loehmann's or Marshall's in a few months for a fraction of the price.

I guess the only way he can get folks to some into his store is when he has celebrities there. What annoys me the most: WHY is it that people act like it is such a disgrace to have clothing show up at Loehmanns??? It's not a bad thing.. it's a good thing! Not EVERYONE in the world can afford to pay full price, but we still like to look as great as everyone else! If I was a clothing designer, I would be HAPPY to have everyone wearing my stuff and feeling good.. not just the rich. Sorry.. just a pet peeve of mine.
